Field Trip to Wasms Apple Orchard

MMMM CIDER.....

Sibling Sidline

Kyans Preschool took their annual fall field trip to an apple orchard. All the kids seemed to enjoy themselves. We got to see how cider (mmm cider) was made and of course sample cider and doughnuts. The special part about this cider mill you ask? (and even if you didn't!) is they don't pasteurize the cider, you get every bit of apple and bacteria for your money. But oh the difference!!! I will never go back to pasteurized cider again! Bring on the bugs!!!

Honey,

Cider, by definition, is not pasteurized. That's what makes it cider and not apple juice, silly.

I hereby retract my prior comment. It turns out that there is pasteurized apple cider. In fact, Honey, as you implied, unpasteurized cider can only be bought at the orchard or where the cider producer is selling the cider directly to the consumer.
