Nomad Land, Small world, and a Poopy Pie....Oh and Lack of Sleep.

We are on the move again, after one quick summer most of our belongings have made it back to Ypsi. The renters are out and everything went well except for one minor plumbing issue that still needs to be resolved. It was so nice to have our mortgage taken care of while living away from home. So in the past 4 years Mick and I have moved...hhhmmm 5 times! It went something like this....Move Across country to Phoenix into apartment.....have baby...buy house.....sell house for profit....buy better house....move back across country to Michigan....move to other side of state for intern ship....move back home to west side of MI for one more year Law School! Whew! That's a lot of moving! Oh I guess that's 6 times Geeezzzz Im glad our kids adjust well. We are already in the works for our next move. Mick is interviewing for after law school this week . He is interviewing in Phoenix (woo! woo!), Cali, and back in GR (GO WEST COAST) Sorry Mom, I just don't adjust well to winter:( Anyway back to our agenda, after getting back to GR with the boys (we are here one more week while I finish up my contract at Helen DeVos Children's) I went to Staples to buy a new Power cord for my Laptop (stupid thing is over $100 what the #$%&) So I ran into an auntie of a little preemie I took care of at U of M. She gave me an update that gave me goose bumps (I love great out comes, it makes it all worth it!!) Now its not like I don't know how little Kailey is doing (I read the blog faithfully :) But to see her aunt again was awesome and hear how well she is doing makes me so happy!!! Good luck with the plans you guys!!!!
OK onward. Nolan is growing like a weed! I know this because when we moved to Amy's for the summer and he just learned to walk he could clear the Kitchen table no problem. Now, when the little dude walks under it if he doesn't duck he gets the edge right smack in the middle of his forehead! So Im guessing he's grown at least 3 inches. His Vocabulary is growing these days as well. Lets see, Ball, Doc, da-da-da (both daddy and down) He says a double syllable that I know is "thank you", doesn't sound anything like it and it would be impossible to try to type but I KNOW its "thank you". He whips out an "Uh-oh" every now and then and "Gone" is his new favorite next to Ball. He'll get there but until then an AAAA AAAA still works for most demands! So pie has a problem, his nickname "poopy pie" has a whole new meaning! The boy has an issue with pooping when hes in his crib. Now I'm not sure if its lack of bowel control or if he's just too darn smart? See EVERY time he's in his crib and doesn't want to be......he poops! Nap time....he poops. He knows we Have to come back then. Wake up time.....he poops! He knows we will come get him. Poop Poop Poop!!!!!!! I remember kyan used to poop one time a day almost exactly at 11 am. (i know its weird I remember that) But Mr. Pie.....poop poop poop! Sometimes 4+ times a day!!! The upside of this, if he can control it, it should make for easy potty training!
I apologize it this blog was random and didn't make sense. I never sleep much that day before my first night on. A nap with the boys is usually enough (2-3 hours) Unfortunately their nanny cancelled on me last min. for a convention required for her student teaching this fall. I'm now on my second 12 hour shift on 5 hours of sleep Ugh! I hurt!

Dance like no one is watching!

Have you ever seen the public family restrooms they have available in malls and different public places these days? They are wonderful. They usually come equipped with one large potty to accommodate mom/dad and one small potty to accommodate in our case Kyan. There is also usually a large changing table area for, in our case Pie. The other day Kyan demanded i use the small potty, I know, sorry for the visual! The boys and I found one more convenience of this space offered for family's....its one hell of a dance floor! Nolan was hangin out while Mr. Kyan and I took care of nature (yes, him on the big potty and me...well, as stated above) Nolan started shaking his little booty to the music that was jammin in the large stall. Within a few minutes and flushes all of us were dancing away to the beat. It was awesome, we were extremely loud and having a blast, dancing like no body was watching/ and or listening.....or was somebody? I think we danced a total of two songs before realizing we might have a line outside. So after a good dance work out of about 10 minutes we opened the door and walked calmly out in front of 2 other families waiting patiently. It was hilarious how the boys went from completely crazy dancing to walking out and acting as if we were only taking care of business! Me a little blushed in the cheeks just smiled and shooed my boys on. One of the best parts of being a mom, acting like a kid again!

PS Kyan broke the camera, I think Ill break down and buy a new one.
